Ashaway Introduces ZyMax® 62 Fire Badminton String:
The Thinnest of the Thin

ZyMax 62 Fire
Ashaway Racket Strings has just made "thin" a tougher, more dynamic word with the introduction of ZyMax® 62 Fire badminton strings. Utilizing a proprietary new multifilament BETA polymer core, the new ZyMax 62 Fire offers a 25% increase in dynamic stiffness and repulsion power over comparable strings. Braided construction also generates a 25% increase in knot and shear strength for added durability, while Ashaway's patented ZyWeaVeTM core technology helps maintain tension far longer than other strings. Plus, at 0.62 mm gauge, ZyMax 62 Fire is the thinnest badminton string on the market.

ZyWeaVeTM core technology prevents tension loss; braided construction increases knot and shear strength

Ashaway, RI - Ashaway Racket Strings has just made "thin" a tougher, more dynamic word with the introduction of ZyMax® 62 Fire badminton strings. Utilizing a proprietary new multifilament BETA polymer core, the new ZyMax 62 Fire offers a 25% increase in dynamic stiffness and repulsion power over comparable strings. Braided construction also generates a 25% increase in knot and shear strength for added durability, while Ashaway's patented ZyWeaVe™ core technology helps maintain tension far longer than other strings. Plus, at a super micro gauge of 0.62 mm, ZyMax 62 Fire is the thinnest badminton string on the market.

"Thin strings increase repulsion and shuttle speed," said Ashaway's Steve Crandall. "They are also lighter and offer less swing resistance which increases racquet head speed. But making a thin string that doesn't break or lose tension while actually improving playability required an intense effort by our R&D lab as well as the dedication of play testers all over the world."

Ashaway's ZyMax Fire line of badminton strings is the first to use a proprietary new material the company has dubbed BETA Polymer. Beta Polymer offers a number of benefits when used in racquet strings, including great strength and elasticity. It can also be formulated to optimize specific playing characteristics, which has allowed Ashaway to develop an entire line of ZyMax Fire strings designed to meet the needs of a broad range of players. ZyMax 62 Fire is designed for professional or advanced amateur players who seek world-class shuttle speed and repulsion, and demand minimal tension loss and consistent performance.

Ashaway's trademarked ZyWeaVe technology creates a string core that is stronger and holds tension better than traditional badminton strings. This allows for thinner, more playable strings that perform consistently at higher tensions throughout the life of the string.

ZyMax 62 Fire string is available in traditional white and in a distinctive "Fire" orange color, and in either 10-meter sets or 200-meter reels. Recommended stringing tension is up to 30 lbs.
